There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty.

What is SOS?

Saving our South is an exchange whereby private concerns and realtors may list, almost for  free, historic structures from Virginia to Texas, that need some TLC.

Foundations saving homes and other historic buildings can only do so much. That's where the private sector kicks in. Our old home place above was a wreck, but appreciated the love shown it so much, that it made a wonderful farmhouse for four boys, a little sister, four horses, a calico cat, and  two Catahoula Cur dogs. Even the old  Catalpa tree out front that looked half dead flourished and bloomed! An old timer, Jack King, said that it was because a family lived nearby again. We also assist realtors who list large parcels of southern farmland and ranches, and facilitate donations to the Nature Conservancy.

Do you own a historic property in danger of falling down in Natchez or Savannah, or a ranch in Texas?  Looking for a home worth saving, or a large chunk of wild land?  If you need a foreign speaker to translate for a real estate client, including accompanying to the site, we have translators in everything, including Swahili.  We also do Real Estate Negotiation.

SOS /SAVING OUR SOUTH   also does video for historic and farm and ranch properties, which can give the buyer something lovely to look at, if you like, to add to your listing.
